The Rabbi and the Boat

A rabbi was out fishing on a lake with two friends early one morning.

Everything was peaceful until one of the men suddenly stood up, stepped out of the boat… and casually walked across the water to shore.

A few minutes later, he returned the same way carrying sandwiches.

The rabbi stared in complete shock but said nothing.

About an hour later, the second friend stood up too.

He calmly stepped over the side of the boat, walked across the water to shore, grabbed drinks from a cooler in his truck, and walked right back.

Now the rabbi was amazed.

Finally, one of the men smiled and asked, Rabbi, would you like to try?

The rabbi adjusted his hat confidently.

Of course.

He stepped out of the boat…

And immediately sank straight into the water.

The two men quickly pulled him back into the boat.

As the rabbi sat there soaked and furious, one friend whispered to the other:

Do you think we should’ve told him where the rocks are?
