The Mother In Law and the Genie

A man, his wife, and his mother-in-law were walking along a beach when they stumbled upon an old brass lamp. The man rubbed it, and a genie appeared, offering to grant each of them one single wish.

The mother-in-law pushed to the front. "I want to be on a beautiful tropical island with white sand, a private chef, and absolutely no family around to bother me for the rest of my life!"

Poof! She vanished in a cloud of smoke.

The wife went next. "I want a diamond necklace that never loses its shine and a mansion in Paris!"

Poof! She was gone too.

The genie turned to the man. "And what is your wish?"

The man looked at the empty beach, took a deep, peaceful breath of the salty air, and smiled. "I'll have a cold beer, and... could you bring those two ladies back? I'm starting to feel a little lonely."
