It seems tht a trio of buddies drove several hundred miles to their favorite fishing spot. The driver said, "Boy, am I beat!" and fell asleep immediately. The others played a joke on him: they reset his alarm clock and watch from 10 P.M. to 4:55 A.M., got undressd and into bed.

Five minutes later, at (supposedly) five o'clock in the morning, the victim's alarm clock went off. Everyone but he leaped from bed, and began bustling around camp, making brakfast. The victim just lay in bed, muttering, "Wow! Give me some black coffee. That was the worst night' sleep I ever had."

He climbed groggily into the fishing boat with the others, and waited for the sun to come up. And waited. And waited. And waited. His watch said that it was now well past 6 A.M. He asked, "What time does the sun rise today?"

One of the others shook his head sadly, and said, "You know, Bill, I read in the paper that the sun was not going to rise today, but I didn't believe it till now." The victim screamed and leaped out of the boat.
